We had the great pleasure of engaging Rich to DJ our daughter's wedding this past October. I can not begin to tell you what a professional and wonderful job he did for us. It was not a big dancing crowd but those that did enjoyed themselves thoroughly!! Those who did not dance remarked to us about the wonderful music selections for not only the cocktail hour but the dance music also. DJ Rich Platt was the MC and DJ for our wedding reception on Saturday, October 1, 2005 at the Bolero Hotel in Wildwood, NJ. I found DJ Rich through his website. I was intrigued by his song list and thought that he would be a great match for our reception. From our first conversation, DJ Rich was professional, knowledgeable, and warm. He emphasized that his first priority was to make sure we had a great time by taking all the pressure off of us. He made suggestions for our event but never pressed an agenda. He always returned my phone calls or emails, and even met with me to see the location of our two-floor venue and hear what I thought would work. During the whole process, he was genuinely interested in making sure the event was what we envisioned, and, most importantly, that we enjoyed ourselves. He stressed that he knew how important this event is to us, since it only happens once—there are no second chances to get it right.
On the day of the reception, he put all his words and reassurances into action. He led our rowdy bridal party of 25 through all the formalities, and made sure the crowd of 170 was on their feet. He took requests, but also stuck to our “no play” list. He timed everything perfectly, adjusted when needed, and played an array of appropriate music during the cocktail hour, sit-down dinner, entrance and formalities, and the hard-core dance hours. He was what he promised.
I strongly encourage anyone who is looking for a DJ to be a partner and ally through what can be a very chaotic, but WONDERFUL, time in your life, to hire DJ Rich. He’s one person you definitely don’t need to worry about, and delivers on his promises.

We hired Rich Platt to DJ our daughter’s wedding in September of 2000. When our other daughter got married in September of 2001, we again asked Rich to be the DJ because he had done such a great job the year before. Rich Platt is very professional, gets the people involved and knows the right music to do it. In fact many of our guests commented on the music selection and his professional manner.
This summer we decided to have a party at our home and naturally, we called Rich. Rich was not available for the original date we had in mind, so we changed the date just to have Rich as DJ. He did a wonderful job, played the right music for our guests’ age group. We even had people dancing on the concrete, they enjoyed the music that much!
Rich Platt’s price is fair. He contracts for a certain amount of time, but is willing to keep the party going if you want him to. Any time we need a DJ, we will be going with Rich!

I have had the pleasure of using Richard Platt on 3 different occasions. The first time was last year, for my daughters jr/sr prom. He was not only, professional, attentive and paid attention to detail but he also was able to supply all the latest music that the kids wanted to hear. The second occasion was my nieces wedding which was this past September of 2002. The wedding took place a hour and a half away from Richard's home base and again he was flexible enough to accomidate all of her needs. He came to the wedding sporting a tuxedo and demonstrated entusiasm through out the evening, accomidating any special request. On the third occasion he was able to help me out of a pinch with very short notice and performed sporting in complete beach attire ( birthday party had a beach theme) .
